Main project features: undertake a comprehensive scoping study and baseline assessment of selected wards of three provincial cities of Ha Tinh (Ha Tinh City), Quang Nam (Tam Ky) and Quang Ngai (Quang Ngai City) and one ward of Hanoi, and based on the findings of the analysis, the team proposed to the American Red Cross and Red Cross Vietnam strategies and projects to enhance the resilience of these cities.
Activities performed:
• Review and summarize existing information on impacts of climate change on cities and adaptation measures of cities;.
• Develop a mapping of urban resilience stakeholders, a capacity assessment of the Red Cross branches, spatial analysis (from existing maps, GIS data, satellite imagery) of existing situation and future trends in the area (employment, urban development, land use plans, etc..), and develop urban profiles for each ward-complete with visual materials (maps and graphics);.
• Propose strategic programs and projects for the partners.
